JOB SUMMARY

The Architect is responsible for translating briefs into architectural drawings and supervising construction projects to ensure delivery according to schedule, cost and required quality standard. The job holder will perform other professional architectural duties as assigned.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead design developments and ensure timely completion of architectural document
  • Develop and review architectural specifications and documents
  • Receive and interpret office briefs
  • Create, plan and prepare construction drawings and specifications of project and make presentations on them
  • Produce design development documents
  • Ensure strict adherence to building approval procedures, HSE standards, safe work practices and quality standards
  • Ensure adherence to building codes and standards
  • Provide professional expertise and support
  • Provide architectural oversight to staff and work/project teams
  • Supervise on-site construction progress and handle problems and issues as they arise
  • Coordinate projects or work teams through design development and documentation phase
  • Conduct architectural inspection of assigned buildings or facilities to verify compliance with applicable laws and standards carry out site investigation s
  • Investigate, evaluate and recommend architectural design
  • Assist in the development and administration of professional design and related contracts required
  • Communicate regularly with project team, contractors and suppliers/vendors to ensure efficient progress is being made
  • Monitor and review work of design and related consultants to ensure performance in line with contract terms, and conformance with plans and specifications
  • Participate in planningand budgeting for related projects
  • Execute construction documents in accordance with design intent and quality
  • Apply diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices on projects and assignments

REQUIREMENT & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years’ work experience (preferable in terminal drawings)
